Abstract

The paper present data's on the pedologycal conditions which preserved the endangered species Tofieldia calyculata L. Wahlbg. on a restricted territory in Valea Morii, near Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, Romania. Valea Morii represents an isolated point on the distribution map of the species in Europe, and the single point where this species have been preserved until now in Romania. Tofieldia calyculata is integrated hare mainly in communities dominated by Schoenus nigricans.
