The paper represents a first attempt for the mapping of Macromycetes growing in Romania. The chorology of Macrolepiota procera (SCOP.:FR.) SING. is here used as a case study. In order to codify and represent chorological data on the country scale a grid was constructed. The grid is based on the principles outlined by A. Brelinsky and B. Dichtel (1971) - every longitudinal degree was divided into 6, every latitudinal degree on 10 equal parts. The squares and the way they are numbered corresponds to the mycological maps used in Europe.
